Question by : What do I need to do to get ready to apply to colleges?
Even though it is only summer, I’m getting anxious about applying this fall for college. I’m retaking a class this summer to improve my GPA, which, to my knowledge, is a 3.2, but I haven’t figured up my last semesters grades. I’m looking into what colleges I wan to apply to, but there are so many, it’s hard to choose just 3-5 to apply to.
What do I need to do to prepare to apply?
Please give me a serious answer.

If you’re re-posting this repeatedly hoping to get the answer you want to hear you’re wasting your time and server space. This behavior is rather obsessive and immature.

Question by : Please help me find some decent colleges that will accept me!?
I’m going into my senior year of high school year and I’m freaking out.
Here are the colleges I’m thinking about-
University of Rhode Island
American International College
I don’t know what my gpa is but my grades overall was 84. I took College Prep courses and next year I’m taking AP and honors courses. I did Model UN, Seeds Of Peace, Anatomy of leadership, NAACP and Key Club. I’m also a junior Volunteer at a hospital, I did it during the school year and summer.

Don’t freak out – you’ll find a college that’s right for you! I’m not quite sure what you mean when you say you grades are an 84 – is that 84%? Like a B average? That would probably translate to about a 3.0-3.4 depending on how your school grades an 84. If that’s true, the schools you are looking at might be more of a “reach” school for you. You seem like you have great extracurricular activities, but the first things colleges look at are grades and standardized test scores. What you need to do is find schools where your GPA and test scores are within the average for the current freshman class. So you can go ahead an apply to the schools you’ve listed, but make sure you find some that are “match” or “safety” schools to balance out your selection. You can learn more about safety, match, and reach schools here: http://makecollegereality.com/apply/choosing-a-college/safety-match-and-reach-schools-explained.html

Question by : Colleges in New York?!!!! Please help!?
I am planning to go to new york for college. I have a 3.46 g.p.a and I attend a catholic and private school. I have alot of service hours, and I have a big activities resume. In freshman year I didn’t get into any honors classes(whcih is strange because I had straight As in 8th grade) in sophmore I got 2 honors classes, in junior I had 3 honors classes and I am a senior now and I am taking 4 honors classes and one AP class. I want to go to school close to nyc. I was looking at places like Fordham, Hofstra, and NYU. I took the ACT once and I got a 25 and I am taking it twice more to get a higher score. Do I have a good chance of geeting into these schools? Please help. I only have a week to decide if I should apply.

I would say you have a good chance of getting into NYU & Fordham — you could definitely get into Uconn which isn’t too far away and Caldwell college. good luck!
